Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to My Wine live.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of https://mywinelive.com and your purchase of our online wine education courses.

Please read them carefully before purchasing a course or accessing our services.

My Wine live is operated by:

By purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, subject to your applicable statutory rights.

2. Our Courses

My Wine live offers two online wine education products:

Wine Tasting Essentials

An online course designed for individuals who wish to improve their understanding of wine, wine tasting and wine service.

Wine Tasting Essentials PRO

An online course designed for restaurants and hospitality businesses seeking to develop their staff’s practical wine knowledge and service skills.

Both courses are delivered digitally and become available following successful payment and account activation.

Course descriptions, included materials and any specific product conditions are presented on the relevant sales page.

3. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Both Wine Tasting Essentials and Wine Tasting Essentials PRO are offered through annual subscriptions.

Each subscription provides access for a period of 12 months, subject to these Terms & Conditions.

Subscriptions renew automatically every 12 months unless cancelled before the next renewal.

The applicable price, currency, billing frequency and any taxes or additional charges will be displayed before the customer confirms the purchase.

Wine Tasting Essentials PRO is currently offered to UK customers at £24 per year, where that price is displayed on the relevant checkout.

Any promotional pricing or special offer will be subject to the conditions stated at the time of purchase.

Customers will be informed of the recurring nature of the subscription before completing their order.

4. Payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed through ThriveCart and its supported payment service providers.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorise the relevant payment provider to charge the payment method selected at checkout for the initial subscription and subsequent renewals unless the subscription is cancelled.

Payments are processed in the currency shown at checkout.

If a recurring payment fails, access may be temporarily restricted or suspended until the payment issue is resolved, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their billing information is accurate and up to date.

5. Immediate Access to Digital Content

Our courses are provided digitally through an online learning platform.

Access is normally made available immediately after successful payment and account activation.

Customers receive the information necessary to access their purchased course through the email address provided during checkout.

Access requires a suitable device, a working internet connection and compatible software or browser.

We will take reasonable steps to maintain course availability, although temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Consumer Cancellation Rights and Digital Content

Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to cancel their contract within 14 days.

For digital content supplied immediately, the right to cancel may be lost once supply begins, provided the applicable legal requirements have been satisfied.

Where required, we will obtain the consumer’s express consent to begin supplying digital content during the cancellation period and their acknowledgement that doing so will result in the loss of the relevant cancellation right.

The required consent and acknowledgement must be obtained as part of the purchasing process, and the appropriate confirmation must be provided.

Simply accepting these Terms & Conditions does not, by itself, remove statutory cancellation rights.

Where the legal requirements for the loss of the cancellation right have not been met, the consumer retains the rights provided by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Automatic Renewals and Subscription Cancellation

Both courses operate on an annual automatic renewal basis.

Unless cancelled, the subscription renews at the end of each 12-month billing period and the applicable renewal charge becomes payable.

Customers may request cancellation of future renewals using the subscription management options made available through the payment platform or by contacting us at [email protected].

Cancellation of automatic renewal prevents future subscription charges, subject to any payment already due and applicable statutory rights.

Where a subscription is cancelled solely to prevent the next renewal, access will ordinarily continue until the end of the period already paid for.

Any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to the initial purchase or a renewal remain unaffected.

We will provide any renewal information, reminders and cancellation arrangements required by applicable law.

8. Refunds

Refund requests are assessed in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation and the circumstances of the purchase.

A change of mind after access to digital content has begun does not necessarily create a right to a refund where the statutory cancellation right has been validly lost.

However, customers may remain entitled to a refund or other remedy where required by law, including where digital content is faulty, materially misdescribed or not supplied as agreed.

Any additional voluntary refund guarantee will apply only where expressly offered on the relevant sales page or at checkout.

To request assistance with a refund, contact [email protected], providing your order details.

9. Personal and Business Licences

Wine Tasting Essentials

The standard course is intended for personal educational use.

A subscription grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the course during the paid subscription period.

Course access may not be resold, redistributed or made publicly available without prior written permission.

Wine Tasting Essentials PRO

Wine Tasting Essentials PRO is intended for use by the purchasing restaurant or hospitality business.

The subscription grants the purchasing establishment a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the course for the internal training of its staff during the paid subscription period.

The licence applies to the purchasing establishment and does not automatically extend to other venues, branches, franchises or unrelated businesses.

Staff may be trained using the course during the subscription period, including newly recruited or temporary staff.

The licence does not permit public redistribution, resale, publication of course materials or use as a separate commercial training product without written permission.

Any technical restrictions on account access or simultaneous viewing will be governed by the course platform’s available functionality and the arrangements communicated at purchase.

10. Intellectual Property

All original course content, including videos, written materials, graphics, educational resources, branding and downloadable documents, remains the intellectual property of My Wine live or its relevant licensors.

Purchasing a subscription grants access to the content but does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.

Unless expressly authorised, customers must not:

  • Copy or reproduce substantial parts of the course.

  • Record or redistribute course videos.

  • Upload course materials to public websites or file-sharing platforms.

  • Sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the course content.

  • Remove copyright notices or other proprietary information.

Permitted use of downloadable materials is limited to the educational purposes covered by the relevant licence.

11. Customer Accounts and Access

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when purchasing a course.

Where account credentials are issued, customers must take reasonable steps to protect them against unauthorised use.

Access credentials must not be sold or transferred to unrelated third parties.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action where necessary to protect the platform, other users or our intellectual property rights.

Any suspension or termination of access will be subject to applicable contractual and statutory rights.

12. Course Content and Educational Purpose

Our courses are designed to provide practical and theoretical wine education.

We aim to ensure that the information is accurate and useful at the time of publication.

However, wine production practices, classifications, regulations and industry standards may change over time.

We may update educational content to reflect new information or improve the learning experience.

Course participation does not guarantee professional certification, employment, promotion or any particular commercial result unless expressly stated in the relevant course description.

13. Website and Platform Availability

We aim to provide reliable access to our website and online courses.

Occasional interruptions may occur because of scheduled maintenance, software updates, hosting problems, internet failures or other technical circumstances.

We will take reasonable steps to resolve issues within our control.

We may make changes to the platform or course delivery arrangements, provided that such changes do not unlawfully deprive customers of the services they have purchased.

14. Third-Party Services

My Wine live uses third-party providers for functions such as payment processing, course delivery, hosting and video streaming.

These providers may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for independent third-party websites that customers choose to visit through external links.

However, our use of third-party service providers does not remove any legal obligations we owe to customers.

15. Affiliate Links

Some articles and educational resources on My Wine live may contain affiliate links.

We may earn a commission when visitors make qualifying purchases through these links.

Affiliate relationships do not change the price charged by the relevant merchant unless expressly indicated.

Products and services purchased from independent third-party merchants are governed by the terms of those merchants.

Further information is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.

16. Privacy and Cookies

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

Our website also uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

Please review these documents for information about personal data, third-party services and cookie preferences.

17. Liability and Statutory Rights

We provide our courses with reasonable care and aim to ensure that the digital content meets the description supplied at the time of purchase.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing affects the statutory rights of consumers under applicable consumer protection legislation.

For business customers, any limitations of liability will apply only to the extent permitted by law and must be interpreted in light of the relevant contractual circumstances.

We are not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our services, business operations or applicable law.

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated revision date.

Changes will not retrospectively remove statutory rights or alter existing contractual obligations where doing so would be unlawful.

Where required, we will notify affected customers of material changes.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer’s country or place of residence.

Nothing in this clause deprives consumers of legal rights or protections that cannot be excluded by contract.
